The DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY at the UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA invites applications for a
full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
beginning August 1, 2008. A doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology (clinical
preferred) from an APA-accredited program and an APA accredited internship is
required by the start of employment. A commitment to both undergraduate/graduate
teaching and conducting research is required. A scientific/empirical approach
to clinical psychology is essential to ensure compatibility with our training
model. Primary responsibilities include: 1) teaching and supervising
undergraduate and graduate students including theses, and 2) establishing an
active program of research that includes student involvement. The teaching load is very reasonable for a regional university with
research expectations, and will encompass courses primarily in the clinical
