Projectors

Important troubleshooting note for projectors:
The auto-adjustment routine on some projector models does not always work properly. If the output on the projection screen looks messed up in some way, try pressing the AUTO ADJUST button on either the touchpanel or on the projector's physical remote control (this button is also sometimes labeled as AUTO SETUP).

Computers

Classrooms maintained by the CSBS are equipped with a dedicated Windows PC or laptop. Once the computer has fully booted, login instructions will appear on the screen. For specific classroom computer questions, please contact csbstech@uni.edu.

Wireless Presenters

Most standard classrooms have a wireless presenter, for controlling PowerPoint slide shows remotely.

Combo DVD/VCR Players

Most classrooms have a combination DVD/VCR player, for playback of videos on DVD or VHS tape, such as the Toshiba V296 model in the Sabin Hall classrooms.

For rooms with a Sony brand DVD/VCR player, be sure to select "VIDEO" for VHS tape playback or "DVD" for DVD playback. This setting can be made directly on the device itself. pressing the corresponding buttons, or by using the Sony DVD/VCR player remote control. When using the Sony remote control, first make sure the slider button has been set to "DVD-VIDEO" mode, then select VIDEO or DVD as appropriate.

For rooms with non-Sony models, if you are unable to figure out how to get either VHS tape or DVD playback to work properly, please contact csbstech@uni.edu.
